96% of businesses worldwide have yet to start their journey to the cloud, with the vast majority of computing still ahead of us. This means there’s an enormous amount of growth ahead of us - Andy Jassy, AWS CEO at ReInvent 2020.

Innovation and education is at the core of our vision to re-imagine how our customers scale. We imagine a world where these organisations leverage their current scale and investment, then have the knowledge and courage to rethink their businesses to see cloud computing as an enabler to innovation and growth.

If hearing that compels you to engage with senior business and technical leaders to help them achieve their organisation's mission by migrating to AWS, then this is the role for you.

As the Migration Sales Specialist for Mid Enterprise, you will have the exciting opportunity to dramatically accelerate the adoption of AWS compute services by guiding customers on their cloud journey.

You will have experience working with customers on migrations and/or large scale transformation projects, engaging and helping them to develop the benefits of migrating to cloud and earning trust by demonstrating a clear understanding of cloud solutions.

Joining AWS as the Migration Sales Specialist for the Mid Enterprise segment, gives you the opportunity to:
  • Work for the leader in cloud infrastructure and platform services, as recognised by Gartner for the 11th consecutive year;
  • Think big as you build a program of work to engage with commercial customers in a diverse range of verticals across an entire AWS segment;
  • Be involved in shaping the future of Mid Enterprise customers;
  • Collaborate with customers, partners and colleagues to build migration plans and supporting business cases to help accelerate our customers’ journey to cloud; and
  • Demonstrate the value of moving to AWS to ensure positive outcomes for our customers.

    “We are excited to help our customers meet their strategic goals by giving them access to experienced migration specialists to enable cloud computing to be the centerpiece of our customers’ growth and innovation.” - Matt Old, General Manager of Mid Enterprise & Small-Medium Business, Australia, Amazon Web Services.

    In this position, you will deal with customer challenges and pressing deadlines – but that just keeps things interesting. You’ll have exceptional problem solving skills and experience of working with cross-functional teams. You will have the ability to execute both strategically and tactically when planning cloud migrations, and be excited to take on new, customer defining projects that shape the future of Mid Enterprise customers.

    The role is open in Melbourne or Sydney, Australia with moderate travel expected across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane (subject to Covid-19 guidance).
