Technical Product Owner (Customer Journey Expert) - Life & Health Insurance

The Customer Journey Expert plays a key role within the delivery squad taking responsibility for the full life-cycle from inception through to development, launch & support with a view to achieving an optimal customer experience whilst meeting ING targets.

This is a 12-month contract that could be extended.

In this role you will work closely with business stakeholders to analyse and assess new initiatives and scheduled projects. You will take ownership for the agreed solution ensuring that delivered solutions meet customer and business needs whilst adhering to legal, risk and compliance requirements of the bank.

What are you going to do? You’ll…

  • Represent the voice of the customer, having a strong focus on customer journey and continuously improving the customer benefits ING is offering and the key moments of truth for customers.

  • Maximise business value through ordering and prioritising the product backlog features and stories.

  • Work closely with the Insurance and Delivery teams using your technical expertise and experience, to ensure that the team understand the product backlog and can effectively plan for sprints.

  • Work with Delivery, User Experience, Product, Marketing, Customer Intelligence, Architecture and identified business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify customer personas, validate insights and develop Minimum Viable Product (MVP) scope.

  • Deepen the team’s knowledge of customer needs, motivations, and behaviours to influence designs that contribute to a rewarding customer experience.

What are we looking for? You’ll have…

  • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or equivalent – (Advantageous)

  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office tools with a basic understanding of technology languages and applications

  • 3-4 years’ experience as a Scrum Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst within a highly complex technology based Agile environment

  • Insurance or Banking and Finance experience

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Sound analytical skills

  • A track record of achieving business objectives through product releases

  • Experience in Health or Life Insurance (direct channels) and working with business partners to deliver products and services (Advantageous).
