Due to an internal promotion within the team, we are looking for an exceptional Payroll Specialist to join our global Pay team! Considered a payroll expert, you will have experience working in a large scale payroll environment. In addition you’ll have an understanding of General Ledger systems including payroll journals. Experience with NetSuite, or a similar cloud based payroll system is an advantage.
What you’ll do:
The Payroll Specialist is part of the Wellington based Finance Team which undertakes the finance function for all of Xero’s worldwide operations. The Pay Team, within the wider Finance Team, is a global shared service.
You will be part of the team responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll for APAC and EMEA.
The payroll systems currently used is Netsuite Infinet Cloud, which has data integrations to Netsuite ERP and Workday HRIS. We also use Slack for communication and Zendesk for customer service. Xero also uses third party payroll providers for certain smaller payrolls in new markets.
What you’ll bring:
- Prior experience with NZ, AU or UK payroll for a medium to large company
- Knowledge of workplace, payroll and tax legislation
- Experience with a cloud based payroll system (we currently use Netsuite Infinet Cloud, WorkDay and Zendesk) is an advantage
- Ability to multi-task and ability to be organised
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
