Reporting to the Human Resources Manager - Crown Sydney, the Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing human resources advice and services to the operations business. Primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to; managing employee relations across the business, coordinating the implementation of performance management, talent management and succession plans, coaching employees and teams, conduct and counselling and addressing staff performance issues. This role will collaborate closely with members of the HR department to plan and implement innovative projects and strategies.
The Human Resources Advisor will be heavily involved in the opening period of the new property, including recruitment, on-boarding, training and establishment of the operation. Post opening, the Human Resources Advisor will partner closely with the business unit managers to develop and implement people management initiatives.
Key duties of this position will include:
Ensuring the successful delivery of HR strategies, initiatives and programs for Crown Sydney.
Providing expert and clear advice to management on a broad range of HR matters including career planning, disciplinary procedures, conduct and counselling, performance management, training and development, employee relations and industrial relations.
Partnering with managers to assist with continual improvement across the business and increased uplift of service capability.
Partnering with business unit managers to deliver an exceptional employee experience across the employment journey
Manage complaints, grievances and investigations across the business,
Key Selection Criteria:
Appropriate tertiary qualification in a Human Resources or a related discipline is highly desirable.
The ability to build strong working relationships, demonstrate professionalism, and build trust amongst diverse groups of people.
Exceptional attention to detail, planning and follow through.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to act with discretion and integrity at all times and maintain confidentiality in matters relating to employee relations and personal matters
