About the Opportunity
You will be responsible for providing Commercial and Defence Security advice and education to all business operations within a nominated area and supporting other Security personnel nationally, in accordance with company Security policies, procedures and guidelines.
Other key duties will see you:

  • Carry out security tasks and coordinate security services for the assigned work stream
  • Monitor the adequacy of security measures within the business area to ensure that policies and procedures are up-to-date and take account of developments
  • Coordinate the readiness of team's response to security incidents
  • Conduct and review security assessments and define operational requirements for the assigned work stream to protect critical assets
  • Assure the integrity of employees working in the assigned business area by maintaining personnel security and appropriate access control
  • Provide security advice and guidance to stakeholders and make recommendations to improve security solutions
  • Maintain effective relationships and coordination with key business representatives
  • Support the security culture by raising security awareness among staff and modelling behaviours that demonstrate Company values

About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in security services, preferably within the Government or Defence industry
  • A good understanding of industry standards and security best practise guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs

Whilst not essential, tertiary qualifications in Government Security would be highly desirable.

Clearances
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance to the level of Negative Vetting 1.
A White Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) is required for this role and applicants must meet ASIC eligibility requirements in order to obtain and maintain this clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
