About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Licenced Tanker Driver who is available to operate out of our Darwin, NT branch.

You will be responsible for deliveries to both domestic and commercial sites across Darwin as well as work in store to assist and serve customers with their queries. You will be working on a full-time permanent basis - Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm. In addition, we will provide in-depth training and support, giving you the confidence to know that all the hard work you put in is backed up by a world class organisation.

Your duties will include:
  • Operate and maintain our 12 Tonne Truck in compliance with BOC standards, regulations and policy
  • Complete daily and weekly inspections to ensure vehicle is always fit for service, clean and presentable, with all documentation and safety equipment up to date and in test.
  • Timely delivery of paperwork and active co-operation with stakeholders
  • Cooperation with branch staff in servicing customers, completion of work, flexibility of responding to demand, and, contributing to a positive workplace environment
  • Reporting of compliance issues / OOD cylinders and, conducting checks where required
  • Ensuring all incidents are reported to the Branch Manager
  • Be safety conscious and abide by all regulations associated with the position
  • Liaising with customers in a professional manner at all times
It is expected you will bring experience including:
  • Driving experience operating a Heavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle with clear driving history
  • Dangerous good handling certificate
  • Experience in a retail sales environment will be highly advantageous
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Industrial and safety equipment knowledge would be beneficial
  • Forklift Licence will be highly regarded
