As a qualified Chef Manager, you will manage the operational performance of our on-site catering service delivery in our aged care site in Richmond NSW in a key team and customer focused leadership role, managing a large team of chefs and catering assistants.
The role encompasses food costing, menu design, managing staff rosters, overseeing effective stock control, and cooking and food preparation all the while ensuing a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness and of course great customer and clients service. You will need to be career focused as this role will be seen by you as a stepping stone to a more senior position in the near future.
You will have had prior experience with large scale and high volume food service as well as managing large catering teams yet continue to work in a hands on capacity. Demonstrated understanding of food costing, food cost variable (wastage, rotation etc). HACCP and food safety is essential.
You will be personable with excellent communications skills and well developed leadership and motivational skills, ensuring that you drive consistency and innovation and in turn deliver required service outcomes. Your experience in the Aged care industry will be highly desirable but it won't be essential. You will have the desire to succeed and progress in your career. .
