Transactional Tax compliance is one of the key reasons why people use business accounting solutions like Xero. Our compliance solutions are used and heavily relied on by businesses, including their bookkeepers and accountants. The Transactional Tax product group within the Compliance product portfolio are looking for a Product Owner to join our team focused on the delivery of products and experiences that help make compliance less taxing for Xero customers.
What you’ll do as a Product Owner at Xero
As a Product Owner, you will work with a development pod on a daily basis and be responsible for the team backlog, prioritisation and delivery. You will have (or quickly build) a strong understanding of the business and customer needs and this will enable you to give clarity and direction to the development pod, make clear prioritisation decisions to achieve measurable value and loveable products sooner. You’ll help the team plan and operate accordingly. This means you will be responsible for delivery of the roadmap, achieving measurable outcomes, product planning and requirements for new features and improvements.
On a human level, you will motivate and guide a team of peers to drive delivery. Day to day, you’ll be a champion for measurable customer and business value, by collaborating with the wider team including Developers, a BA (where available) as well as Design and Research. You’ll support and develop the creation of journey maps, story maps, delivery slices, user stories, experiences and workflows to create solutions that solve real measurable needs for customers.
