Provide expert telecommunications technical advice to project delivery teams as we contribute to powering Queensland's economy.

  • 22-month role supporting a variety of major infrastructure projects
  • Help us introduce next generation technology
  • Prepare our HV network for an increase in renewable energy connections

About the role

In this role, you will join the project team that support the end-to-end delivery of some of Queensland’s major infrastructure projects, positively contributing to the state’s economy. Providing expert telecommunications technical advice to project teams, you will assist with the safe and effective project planning, execution and commissioning of Telecommunications assets in the Powerlink high voltage transmission network.

About you

Your Associate Diploma in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification will be the platform for your success in this role, supported by relevant experience in the installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunications equipment, providing installation and commissioning advice.

You also have working knowledge of Microwave radio; Fibre optic transmission systems; Power Line carrier equipment; SDH, PDH and DWDM multiplexing systems; Information Technology Infrastructure including LAN and WAN topologies and associated systems such as IP, VOIP, MPLS; SCADA systems; UPS and DC Systems.
