Delivery Lead

As a start-up business inside Australia's largest liquor retailer, EndeavourX aims to bring the best of Endeavour Drinks to our customers, powered by our team, technology and data. To achieve our customer 1st strategy, we have combined the Digital & eCommerce businesses for Dan Murphy’s and BWS to transform the customer experience under one brand - EndeavourX.

EndeavourX Hub is based 5 minutes walk from Central station with spaces for different activities such as collaboration, brainstorming or just chilling out playing ping pong. At EndeavourX, we also believe in flexible working, and our teams also have the option to work from home.

In this role you will

  • Ensure that scrum ceremonies are executed and facilitated
  • Ensuring full participation of all squad members in the delivery of value
  • Responsible for the application and facilitation of the Continuous Improvement practises and team mindset
  • Run the development team board
  • Create user stories, write the requirements of work
  • Lead by example to help cultivate our culture and accelerate innovation within Endeavour Drinks
  • Ensure stories are picked up for sprint planning and prioritised in line with product owner priorities
  • Shields the team from external interferences during a sprint


Within EndeavourX the Delivery Lead wears many hats, one is the Scrum Master role. The Scrum Master is an expert in the Scrum framework and is a servant leader for the squad. Their primary function is to be the Scrum steward, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, rules and holds the team collectively and individually accountable for any team norms they have agreed upon.

The Delivery Lead is also responsible for facilitating the Squads planning of work and supporting coordination activities between relevant parties eg other Squads, internal and external parties and teams. The Delivery Lead will support the Squad as Ideas and Initiatives progress to implemented and operating solutions.

We look for

  • Extensive Scrum Master experience, working end-to-end complex projects
  • Strong technical and development background
  • Proven experience in delivering large eCommerce projects. eCommerce background preferred
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodology, disciplines and procedures
  • Practical evidence of working in Agile delivery; managing product backlogs, prioritising requests, writing user stories, spring planning, iterations, retros, stand-ups
  • Experience delivering data projects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Multi-channel retail experience is highly regarded
