Amazon Web Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated 'Paired' Account Manager / Sales Representative to join our growing Public Sector team in Victoria.

This role is dedicated to our largest and most innovative customers in Government, Education, Health, and Not For Profit. Working closely with a senior sales lead in a paired model.

You will be chartered with developing and managing a sales pipeline, and executing on the account strategy. This includes identifying and building relationships with key influence and decision makers within the teams of prospective accounts, along with the sales lead, internal stakeholders, and cross functional teams to create and present compelling amazon solutions that drive great customer outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline including opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business in untapped customers
  • Manage numerous accounts concurrently & strategically
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS
  • Analyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve your strategy
  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
  • Work closely with the sales lead on executing the account strategy
  • Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
  • Assist customers in identifying use cases for priority adoption of Amazon Web Services as well as best practices implementations
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
    The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adaptable, articulate, driven passionate about their work, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

    This role will be based in Melbourne, Australia.

  • 4-5 years of I.T. related technical sales experience either in business development, sales or an engineering/consulting capacity.
  • Proven IT sales track record
  • Proven track record of identifying and pursuing large number of accounts over the phone.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • 6+ years IT sales experience and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets year over year.
  • Experience engaging with Public Sector organizations highly desirable
  • Experience working with solution partners or SI's
  • Experience selling cloud services highly desirable
• University degree in business or STEM fields
