We are seeking an enthusiastic, relationship builder to join the People & Safety team on a 12 month contract to cover Mat leave. In this varied role, you will collaborate with the Central Queensland leadership team to assist with the planning and delivery of initiatives, driving the strategic goal of being first choice for Coal Haulage. Collaboration is key within this role as you will be working in an autonomous environment and delivering with integrity.

  • Support and coach leaders to effectively lead and achieve people related outcomes
  • Partner with the business to implement transformation initiatives
  • Analyse available people data, identify issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Ensure people related frameworks, tools and processes are understood, accessible for leaders
  • Partnering with the Talent Acquisition Partner to identify prospective talent in the market
  • Contributing to a high-performance culture by delivering through Aurizon's values and championing culture change initiatives

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline preferred but not essential
  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a generalist HR environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels
  • Values-based approach in your HR delivery
  • Current drivers’ licence - open
  • An ability to travel regionally
