Our Hastings crew are looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join us as an Excavator Operator.

About the role:

Our Construction division undertakes a wide variety of civil works involving road construction, kerbing, footpath works and drainage/service installation. This work offers opportunities to undertake a wide range of tasks that includes operating machinery from Excavators, Class 2 trucks, using small plant and general labouring. If you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days out doors in our beautiful city, this could be the position for you.

This is a Monday to Friday role where there is potential for overtime work on weekends and on call based work.

About you:

Along with your positive attitude and your commitment to safe work practises there are a few other essentials, but don’t stress too much if you don’t tick them all off, we are prepared to train you.

  • You will hold a minimum Class 2 full New Zealand driver’s licence with WTR endorsements
  • A proven track record of operating an excavator is essential
  • Ability and willingness to work safely and be responsible for the safe operation of sites
  • Comfortable working hands-on and unsupervised
