About The Role

As a Process Control Specialist, reporting to the Technical Superintendent, your day to day remit will see you maintain reliable calibration of online analyser’s, working closely with the production team to identify and implement improvement opportunities with a focus on automation of the processing plant and developing process control strategies for process improvement.

This is a multi-disciplinary role working within the metallurgy team which often requires the ability to perform metallurgical accounting using ABB production accounting.


In addition you will compile plant performance reports for the management team and monitor the day to day technical results of the processing plant, assisting the operations team to optimize and meet key deliverables. You will also conduct downtime tracking and reporting through AMPLA.

Nickel West Leinster

This role is on offer on a FIFO 7/7/ Roster at our Nickel West Leinster operation, which is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. About You

To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess nickel flotation experience. Experience in the programming of supervisory control packages such as Knowledge scape for process optimisation and the use of P2 explorer and MetSim would be beneficial. Experience with Yokogawa DCS is essential.
