About the role
Laing O'Rourke is looking for experienced HSE Advisors for a project in the Pilbara, WA, operating on an attractive FIFO roster. As the HSE Advisor, you will provide a coaching role to Supervisors and Managers on site, regarding matters relating to Health & Safety, whilst ensuring compliance with Laing O’Rourke’s processes and procedures.
Lead and promote a positive safety culture based on the Laing O’Rourke “Next Gear” program. Your role will focus on providing coaching, direction, support and advice to the project team on HSE related matters, and assisting with HSE governance activities to manage HSE risk. You will also be involved in incident investigations; monitoring and conducting regular HSE field based governance activities within the project sites, assist with the preparation and review of construction method statements, SWMS, and facilitating HSE training as required.
You will have
A completed tertiary qualification in OHS along with previous experience working as a HSE Advisor for construction contracting companies in Australia on large scale mining and resource projects. Experience working on projects with civil and track will be highly regarded.
