About the role

Laing O'Rourke is currently seeking a Senior Application Developer to join our IT function in Brisbane. Multiple positions are available.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Application Development Team Lead, in this position you be part of a small team tasked with developing, enhancing and supporting a range of solutions developed using very current technologies across many different functions within the business.

Our current technology stack includes:

Web – ASP.NET Core, ReactJS

Mobile – React Native / Xamarin Forms (iOS & Android)

Database – SQL Server (using Entity Framework)

Hosting – Azure

RPA - UiPath

About you

  • Experience developing ASP.NET (MVC or Core) web sites using C# and JavaScript
  • Experience with ReactJS & Redux
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET
  • Experience working with Entity Framework, SQL Server and T-SQL
  • The genuine desire to broaden their skillset into areas such as mobile development, robotic automation and integration technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude with an aptitude to take on any task and run with it to completion
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A relevant undergraduate degree from a university

Additionally, having experience using, or knowledge of the following software/technologies would be highly desirable:

  • Azure PaaS
  • CI/CD with Git, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy
  • UiPath
  • Microsoft Flow / Logic Apps
