Amazon Redshift is a fast, fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse that makes it simple and cost-effective to analyse all your data using your existing business intelligence tools. We are looking for software engineers who are self-driven, embrace innovation to deliver meaningful results.

In this role, you will:
  • Write clean, maintainable code and performe peer code-reviews.
  • Work with various teams and technologies and become intimate with the architecture of our systems and be responsible for diving deep into code, while developing solutions for our customers and services.
  • Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with internal teams to prioritize, design and build custom applications.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.

    Our ideal candidate will be passionate about quality, demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, be able to work independently and deal with ambiguous situations.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of professional experience in a software environment, developing high quality code.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficient in at least one or more object-oriented programming language: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, C++ or Kotlin.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Service Oriented Architecture, micro-services, and Java services
  • Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle; including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.
• Analytical and creative design skills and excellent communication skills.
