About the job:
We are currently seeking experienced casual Chefs willing to work across several sites in Queensland ESB. This role requires Chefs to work breakfast, dinner and crib working up to a 14 days on, 7 days off roster which would include 9.5 to 11 hours per shift depending on site. We are looking for team players who have previously worked a similar roster pattern.
There are casual or full time opportunities drive in, drive out or and candidates must live around or between the Townsville/Mackay region or and the surrounding areas however for the right candidate we will consider fly in, fly out of Brisbane.
Your role will include but is not limited to hands-on service for bulk and or buffet style cooking for breakfast, pastries, crib and on occasions organising functions. A solid knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures and safe work practices is imperative.
To be successful in this role it is essential you have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent and ideally have experience within a mining or remote environment such as resorts or cruise ships. You will need to have stamina, exceptional customer service skills, be fit and healthy and have a passion for cooking quality meals for our clients and fellow staff members. Cleanliness and professional presentation is extremely vital at all times along with the ability to work effectively in teams and have a keen eye for detail is essential.
