What we’re looking for?

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product Technologist to be responsible for providing quality support to the General Merchandise divisions of Kmart (in particular – Toys and Nursery product). The role will see you managing the overall development, quality assurance programs and safety of products sold in our stores.

Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality, you will provide high level technical advice and expertise to optimise an innovative and significant Kmart strategy. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including our Buying teams, Quality Team in our Asian Offices and our Internal Compliance team.

About You

To meet the challenges of this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in product development, manufacturing processes and supplier management – all critical to your success in this role;
  • Knowledge of Product Safety Standards, quality management systems and experience with developing and implementing continual improvement processes;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and standards;
  • High level of commercial awareness and a broad understanding of relevant legislative requirements is also essential.
