As the Head of the IFRS17 Program for Life and Investments you’ll partner with the Zurich and One Path Life Accounting, Actuarial, PPM, Tax, Investment Management and Finance Systems teams to run the accounting standards implementation program IFRS17 (and IFRS9). The role is key as the program transitions from its build and implementation, and Group reporting focus, to local regulatory and commercial management aspects.

You’ll provide additional actuarial leadership and oversight to the senior members of the IFRS17 working group, analyse and understand the impacts on the reported profit from the implementation of IFRS17, drive the changes required to the new financial statements in order to comply with the IFRS17 and IFRS9 accounting standards from 2023 locally and globally, and ensure the team meet program deadlines and deliverables.

You will have extensive experience within a Life Insurance Actuarial role and have a strong working knowledge of IFRS17. You will have knowledge of accounting and actuarial tools (Prophet) and techniques and the ability to apply modelling processes and techniques to facilitate risk management decisions. You’ll have experience working closely with multi-disciplinary Finance teams, both on and offshore, including working on and managing large projects. You’ll be required to build relationships and communicate updates to a variety of local and global stakeholders, including executives, CEO and board members therefore you will be expected to produce a variety of documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and a clear understanding of the subject matter.
