Our Exciting Opportunity:

Ericsson Australia is growing! As a result, we are now looking for a Solution Architect who will sit within the Policy Control Function (PCRF) group of Ericsson 5G delivery team, a highly experienced team at Ericsson. You will be working at the cutting edge of technology (5G, IOT, VoNR and VoLTE) and be a domain specialist and a go-to person in the field of PCRF.

In this role, you would:

  • Design, deploy and implement Policy Control Solutions in a reputed telecommunication network.
  • Propose solutions, develop and present technical presentations and proposals
  • Manage customer expectations, implementation of customer solutions within agreed time, scope and cost.
  • Provide ideas and suggestions to Product Management to further improve/add/modify existing offerings within the Network and Design portfolio
  • Work with Project or Program managers to understand the solution scope and fragment into deliverable activities & solutions
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation & information sharing

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or IT.
  • Significant work experience in ICT Industry with experience in service delivery
  • Demonstrable experience on designing, deploying and implementing Policy Control solutions in a telecommunications network and previous hands-on experience on PCRF nodes (Ericsson vSAPC preferred)
  • Solid understanding in the role of PCRF on QoS Management, Access Control and Service Authorization, Support for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services and Usage Limit Control with an Online Charging System
  • Capacity to analyze diameter protocol messages and flows that are relevant to the PCRF solution (Gx, Rx, Sy)
  • Understanding on the evolution of Policy Control in 5G networks
  • Solid grasp of the 5G SA Core Network specially in NEF (Network Exposure Function) and NSSF (Network Slice Selection Function)
  • Experience fixing complex issues and guiding technical teams on Root Cause Analysis processes
  • Consistent track record of leading teams to successful project outcomes!
