To do this, we have introduced a newly formed Finance Operations function to provide the expertise and specialist knowledge required to drive the change, process efficiency and optimisation needed to transform our business.
The Finance Operations function will reside within Finance and Business Performance and form the strategic link between finance and business performance activity along with establishing foundational systems, data management rules and processes adaptable to digitisation of business operations and changing market trends.
We are now recruiting a Manager Finance Operations based in our Brisbane office. Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Finance and Business Performance, you will design and implement an operations finance roadmap to establish standardised operational finance policies, data enrichment and system solutions to digitise and automate business processes that will support Finance and Business Performance deliver the breakthrough ambition.
This role will be rewarding, varied and will include:
- Applying AAOM principles across Finance and Business Performance to drive and optimise the Finance Operations roadmap
- Providing standardisation and governance of data and data enrichment.
- Establishing database and systems to improve operational decision-making
- Driving the standardization of operational commercial processes.
- Reviewing workflows and identify opportunities for digitisation and automation of business processes and enablers for AAOM.
- Facilitating and working with Global Information Management as the systems coordinator for commercial applications.
- Collaborating with Finance and Business Performance colleagues and commercial teams at site to standardise and digitise operational processes where possible.
- Understand existing constraints and inefficient finance processes that can be considered for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience within a large, complex organisation coupled with the ability to think strategically, plan effectively and solve complex problems. You are a natural leader with demonstrated experience in steering the financial drivers of business performance, along with accountability for financial metrics, cost and value management tools.
There is a parallel requirement to work in collaboration with the site leadership team and functional teams who represent diverse areas of the business. Most critically, you will have extensive experience in successful implementation of large scale finance and business systems. In addition, your background should also demonstrate your capability to lead and coach others to adopt change.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business or Commerce qualification is desirable.
