The Role

An exciting opportunity exists in our Townsville Branch for an experienced Horticulturist, Team Leader to support and add to our existing team.

Reporting to the Branch Manger, you will be responsible for the onsite implementation of grounds maintenance across Townsville.

Key responsibilities

  • Weekly mowing, hand pruning along with hedging and mulching

  • Dethatching of lawns and chemical application

  • Irrigation and drainage work

  • Minor landscaping work

  • Involves project planning and work scheduling

  • On-site supervision of employees and auditing the delivery of works on time with quality outcomes in a cost effective and safe manner.

  • Strong time management skills and a passion for delivering a high-quality service to our existing and future customers

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience with cylinder mowing
  • Certificate III in Horticulture
  • Ability to work unsupervised, attention to detail and competent written skills
  • Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude, highly motivated and a good team player
  • A clear commitment and understanding of Quality and Health, Safety and Environment systems
  • A current driver’s license
