The FastTrack for Azure team is a customer-facing Microsoft Azure Engineers who help customers, ISVs, and startups develop and deploy solutions to Azure.

In this role you will work in a thoughtful and collaborative manner as an Azure Customer Engineer across the Azure Data Platform. This ranges from migration of data workloads to azure, creation of new data warehouses and data lakes and applying advanced analytics and AI technologies to help customers get value from their data. This includes work directly with customers a range of locations in Asia.

Responsibilities

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Help customers migrate and/or build new Azure data workloads.
  • Understand customers’ overall data estate, priorities, and success measures to assist them to design & implement the appropriate combination of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest Azure innovations to conduct experiments and drive product improvement.
  • Interact regularly with other FastTrack for Azure Engineers to provide technical action plans or take ownership of situations that require escalation.
  • Share knowledge with others through a range of formal and informal mechanisms
  • Enhance product experiences by sharing feedback with Azure product owners to contribute to the product roadmap.

Qualifications

Successful Candidate Competencies:

  • Experience in two or more of the core Azure Data Platform, BI, and ML technologies, with the desire and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with startup customers, executives, partners, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and ability to take initiative while balancing multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years with customers on Azure specific data solutions
  • Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, with depth in at least two or more of the following areas specific to Azure: Data Migration, Business Intelligence, Big Data, Data Governance, Data Science, Machine Learning, IoT and Artificial Intelligence
  • Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations, to lead projects and to motivate others.
  • Consulting and/or Delivery experience a plus.
