Ericsson is growing its Security function! This is an opportunity to join the team that provides support and guidance to all units in MOAI, as well as other security and non-security functions, across Ericsson. This role will have overall responsible for ensuring that our IT environments maintain order and uniformity in line with Group Policies and Directives. This role reports to Head of MOAI Security.

Purpose of Job Role

The Regional IT Security Specialist provides IT Security advisory to all units in MOAI (Market Area Oceania, South East Asia and India), meeting the needs of the business, applicable customer/internal/external requirements, laws, regulations, and standards. This function should maintain continuous close interaction with all relevant functions in MOAI and other Business Area/Market Area, especially IT Security. The role will also provide audit and assessment support for the region.

You will:

  • Support in reviewing existing and new IT services and solutions in MOAI to build security into the architecture, identify design gaps and recommend security enhancements in solutions and services
  • Ensure alignment between IT security architecture frameworks and standards and overall business strategy.
  • Actively and reactively ensure availability of IT Services, perform IT security monitoring and testing
  • Contribute to IT security assessments or audits and support with incidents and investigations in accordance with agreed and established process concerning the IT environment in MOAI.
  • Establish and demonstrate interfaces to relevant internal or external functions and managers
  • Provide clarity in directives and instructions with IT Security and Group Security and ensuring the MOAI has the right IT technical level of ISMS implementation to be aligned with the ISO27001 standard
  • Ensure IT security risks are followed up on in MOAI Security Leadership Team and other governance meetings and were applicable record decisions taken is such forms

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • One or more security certifications, e.g. CISSP, CCSP, etc
  • Medium level experience in technical hands-on roles in one of more security domain areas of; access control, communications security, operations security, securing cloud environments and/or operating systems / virtualized environments, network architecture, and design, etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business acuity
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with a broad cross-section of partners to explain and enforce security measures and stay ahead of emerging security threats and design security architecture to mitigate them
  • Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security vulnerabilities, etc"
  • In-depth and solid grasp of ISO 27002 and NIST controls and how they should be implemented to secure Ericsson’s information technology environments
  • Problem-solving skills, results-oriented, and a good teammate
  • Knowledge of internal and external product portfolio related to security
