Our National Road Maintenance and Operations team is growing and we are looking for a Continuous Improvement & Operational Quality Manager to join our team.
You’ll be part of a team of specialists who will help to increase business performance across our Transport Services division.
In this newly created and specialist role you’ll be the driving force for identifying and leading improvement initiatives across teams to deliver value and field quality. Our road network maintenance contracts portfolio is rapidly growing in both complexity and client expectations around consistent customer focused delivery.
Your mission will be to use tools like Six Sigma and LEAN methodologys to unpick and challenge our current processes and approach. Ensuring we continue to lift the bar in terms of field quality, planning, and waste reduction, you’ll:
- Champion a quality culture in our Network Management Services
- Be a leading advocate for a continuous improvement mindset
- Develop initiatives enabling our field based teams to produce quality work consistently
- Enable teams to be successful by helping them to build quality focused production plans
You’ll also work with the National Maintenance Operations Manager to develop and implement a three year strategic plan around field quality.
This role isn’t all about meeting ISO standards and ticking boxes, it’s consistently delivering a quality product in the field through changing attitudes, outlooks and approaches to the work we do.
You’ll bring with you a fresh set of eyes to our industry, an enquiring mind and a design thinking approach to the work you do.
You’ll couple this with proven experience in continuous improvement and or quality leadership, along with
- LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies
- The ability to positively guide and influence others
- A project approach and manner
- The ability to engage and communicate effectively at all levels to build a “best employer” work envirnment
