A critical part of the Bank, Group Treasury engages senior stakeholders including Risk Committees, the Board, Regulators, Debt Investors, Industry Bodies and Rating Agencies. As such, you will possess knowledge of Treasury concepts and functions, strong stakeholder engagement & management skills, and a sound understanding of risk management practices.

As an Associate within Group Treasury, there are strong development prospects across teams, providing exposure and opportunities with Performance & Operations, Balance Sheet Management and Portfolio Management & IRRBB.

  • Strong mathematical & analytical capability (degree qualified in Mathematics/Science/Econometrics/Actuarial or other quantitative discipline)

Within the Group Treasury team, you will be part of Balance Sheet Analytics & Modelling (BSAM), working to ensure the bank is enabled to maintain balance sheet strength whilst supporting our customers. The BSAM team supports the bank’s management of interest rate risk, developing quantitative models for customer behaviour, market rate volatility and banking product characteristics by analysing data covering all loans and deposits. These models are used by Group Treasury to inform hedging activities in derivative markets and provide information for regulatory disclosures on market risk.
