Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.

We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

Role: School Crossing Supervisor – Part Time

The role

The role of School Crossing Supervisor is held in very high esteem in our communities. In taking on this role, you’ll become vital to the safety of our kids, parents and teachers, and be an important second pair of eyes for local motorists. You’ll also grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.

School crossings require 20 hours of supervising per fortnight. Shifts for all schools fall between below shifts, Monday to Friday Morning and Afternoon shift during the school term.

Shifts for Hobartville Public School, Chipping Norton Public School, Castle Hill Public School, Kings Langley Public School, Killarney Heights Public School, Beresford Road Public School, Anzac Park Public School, Waitara Public School fall between 8:30am - 9:30am and 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Shifts for Lethbridge Park Public School, St Francis of Assisi Primary School, Glendenning, Brookvale Public School fall between 8:25am - 9:25am and 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Shifts for Llandilo Public School and St Luke's Catholic College, Marsden Park fall between 8:00am - 9:00am and 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Shifts for Wheeler Heights Public School and Wahroonga Public School fall between 8:30am - 9:30am and 2:45pm - 3:45pm

Shifts for Mona Vale Public School and Earlwood Public School fall between 8:15am - 9:15am and 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Shifts for Our Lady of the Angels, Kellyville falls between 8:20am - 9:20am and 2:40pm - 3:40pm and William Clarke College, Kellyville falls between 8.00am - 9:00am and 3.00pm - 4.00pm

What we’re looking for

We’re searching for people we can rely on to show up for our communities - in good or bad weather. Your good communication skills and alertness to potential dangers will be exercised daily. If you’re someone with good community spirit and a positive energy, we’d love to hear from you.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All other training and equipment will be provided to enable you to work independently.

As you’ll be working with children on our roads, willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. Don’t worry if you haven’t done it before, we will help you through the process!
