Our capability spans three portfolio groups (Equities, Mid Risk Portfolios, and Fixed Income, Cash & Currency), is enhanced by our Asset Allocation & Research and Total Portfolio Management teams, and enabled by our Capital Markets, Investment Group Management and International Platform. Mid Risk Portfolios comprises our infrastructure, real estate and credit asset class teams overlaid with portfolio strategy, research and risk specialists at the portfolio group level

Your new role

As a Senior Analyst within the Mid Risk Group, you will work collaboratively to lead excellent financial modelling outcomes for the portfolio, leading analytical support to the key functions of portfolio management, asset management, and transaction execution.

The Property Portfolio is a combination of high conviction, direct property assets (both stabilised and development) and pooled vehicle investments.

You will work with senior colleagues to initiate and produce high quality reporting and research in accordance with regular requirements, pertinent to the strategic priorities of the portfolio. You will use your natural curiosity to drive continual improvements and challenge existing processes.

Consistent with our One Portfolio approach, you will proactively collaborate with peers and colleagues within the Mid Risk Group to share investment insights, technical skills, and support priority activities.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and maintain models and analytics for the portfolio and select direct and indirect investments, including modelling and analyzing forecast performance and exposures.
  • Provide researched insights into direct and indirect investment returns and recommendations on ways to improve performance.
  • Assist with research, transactions and asset management activities

You'll need

  • A natural curiosity and desire to continually challenge existing processes
  • Strong quantitative modelling skills / advanced Excel knowledge
  • Strong report writing and oral communication skills
  • Good knowledge of property valuation principles and practice
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with undertaking analysis of data and information, and drawing of conclusions
  • Experience with Argus preferable
