Compliance Manager (Credit)

It’s an exciting time here at ING and we are looking for a Compliance Manager, with a background in credit products and services (home/business loans, personal loans, and credit cards), to join our advisory team here in Sydney!

As the dedicated compliance manager supporting our Mortgage or Consumer Lending teams, you will have the opportunity to add value to one of our most important business areas and will be pivotal to their growth. Through the provision of advice on compliance matters, you will partner with our retail banking leadership team on all key projects and BAU activities within scope. Be a Subject matter expert and really make an impact in what you do!

What are you going to do? You’ll be…

  • Responsible in supporting the business in developing, managing and ensuring best practice in product compliance.

  • Communicating with business stakeholders both locally and with our EU HQ (where required), to build rapport and embed compliance cultures and practices.

  • Providing compliance advisory services to support senior stakeholders with everything from existing products development to new product launches.

  • Participating in Product Approval and Review and Risk & Control Self-Assessment processes for new or improved products and services.

  • Advising stakeholders on new and upcoming regulatory changes and assess compliance impact.

  • Working collaboratively with different business units, helping them to understand compliance in an effective and productive way.

  • Conducting compliance risk assessments and policy reviews.

What are we looking for? You’ll have…

  • 5 + years of experience working as a compliance expert in retail credit, either at a bank or credit provider.

  • A good understanding and proven working knowledge of Compliance, regulatory and industry code obligations that relate to credit products and services.

  • Knowledge and an ability to understand and deal with compliance issues, in adherence to local laws and head office requirements

  • Proven capability to interpret and translate compliance and regulatory obligations into easy to understand policies and guidelines

  • A degree in accounting, commerce, law or related discipline
