Introduction
Client Technical Specialists (CTP) are the technical experts and advisors to clients, IBM sales teams and/or IBM Business Partners. As a CTP you understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape. You apply your business insights, build and maintain client relationships, incorporate hardware, software and services into client-valued solutions and ensure client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions.


Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join our Hybrid Cloud business unit, focusing on the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) product suite.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide internal and external technical leadership for pre sales IBM Hybrid Cloud engagements in the RPA specialty. This includes positioning the RPA product suite to customers, technical, management and executive staff in the context of how to use the technology for business advantage and as part of broader IBM Software solutions.

This position is for a Sydney/Melbourne work location, however the role is expected to provide coverage of the Australia/New Zealand geography as required. Therefore the successful candidate may be required to travel interstate and to New Zealand.

What will I be doing?
  • Collaborate as 'OneIBM' to assist with a technical sale, providing pre-sales and post-sales support and/or critical situation management. As sales engagements may be directly or indirectly through channel business partners, ongoing interlock will be required with sales specialists and sales teams to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct technical assessments, solution architect design and configurations and perform demonstrations, Proof of Concept or Proof of Technology including business studies such as Return on Investment analysis
  • Facilitate presentations and complete RFI/RFP Response
  • Position the IBM Technology offerings against competitive offerings and shape the value proposition of IBM Software and the IBM solution to win IBM Software solution opportunities,
What skills and experience will I need?
  • Proven experience with digital work automation and management issues
  • Technical sales capabilities including being technically articulate both orally and in creating written responses/documentation.
  • Experience or understanding of business and IT process automation, as well as the ability to articulate business value of automation.
  • Experience with products such as IBM Robotic Process Automation, WDG Automation, Automation Anywhere is desirable.
  • Additional skills in products from the IBM DBA portfolio would be beneficial.
