Agency Securities Lending Relationship Manager- Associate

The Agency Securities Lending Relationship Manager is ultimately responsible for all commercial aspects and decisions around their Clients’ discretionary lending programs including business development, relationship management, revenue optimization, and performance attribution. The Relationship Manager represents J.P. Morgan Agency Securities Lending at the Client and represents the Client within J.P. Morgan to ensure that the business is well aligned to deliver on the Client’s current and strategic securities lending agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be directly accountable for organic economic income growth for assigned clients; measure and track success with team managers and securities lending senior management
  • Maintain an awareness of the client’s requirements in relation to market events and activities
  • Assist senior Relationship Managers in the team with executing a client strategy with focus on retention, strengthening existing relationship and revenue optimization
  • Act as primary contact point for clients on day to day queries, requests and reporting requirements
  • Communicate all market and regulatory developments, identifying potential revenue opportunities and acting in a consultancy/advisory capacity to the client
  • Drive escalation of client delivery issues to all relevant internal J.P. Morgan parties to ensure proper focus and timely resolution
  • Work directly with global Agency Securities Lending trading and investment desks on revenue optimization opportunities and assist senior Relationship Managers to present them to clients as applicable
  • Production of Client Performance decks and associated collation of information
  • Periodically review client accounts participating in securities lending and client program parameters to ensure accurate and not impeding revenue optimization
  • Review or prepare client reporting to make sure in line with client deliverables/ expectations
  • Distribute call memos and reports to stakeholders after key meetings and discussions with clients; ownership or oversight of all follow-up items that arise from client meetings and calls
  • Understand all contractual obligations for assigned clients and ensure program is operating within those parameters
  • Ensure all legal documentation and pertinent client correspondence (including required communications and relevant emails) is stored appropriately, and readily available as and when required
  • Work with implementations team for incremental new account opening, closure and asset transitions when appropriate
  • Partner closely with global ASL product teams and Securities Services partners, relating to all aspects of clients’ program requirements and coordination.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Previous experience in securities markets, preferably in a client-facing role
  • Experience/knowledge in securities lending, securities services and/or the institutional investor market segment highly regarded
  • Ability to work well with data, with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and be a team player
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint/Word
