Cisco ANZ is looking for a high-energy, experienced Business Solutions Architect (BSA) to work with Cisco customers and partners in Health to achieve and sustain results by aligning Cisco’s technology platform to their business imperatives. The Health BSA’s primary objective is to ensure Cisco architectures are aligned to industry needs by validating capabilities within ISG industry offers, creating industry-focused business, systems and technical architecture content, enabling Cisco and partner sellers, conducting internal and customer business architecture workshops, and communicating industry needs to Cisco product business units.

The Health BSA collaborates with Cisco’s Industry Solutions Group, Systems Engineering organisation, Product Specialist teams, Customer Solutions Architects, and Cisco product business units to develop architecture roadmaps aligned with industry needs. The Architect builds and maintains ongoing relationships with technology stakeholders across customers, partners and account teams to maintain and continue selling developed roadmaps. In addition, the Architect will use their engagement experience and subject matter expertise to drive greater solution scale through development of relevant sales collateral and presentations.

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership in combining Cisco and/or partner technology to create scalable business solutions
  • Present technical, solution, and business architectural messages to clients
  • Lead business architecture requirements, analysis and roadmap workshops with Cisco health account teams and corresponding customers
  • Demonstrate and provide skills as a digital strategist, agile problem solver, orchestrator, and visual storyteller to create health business insights and planning artefacts.
  • Lead technical design process during customer engagements and industry facing events
  • Identify and insert the right technical resources when needed
  • Execute in the context of 3rd party technology/architectures
  • Create or develop customer-relevant solution messaging
  • Mentor field technical roles on enterprise architecture, health solutions, ISG use cases, platforms, and customer considerations
  • Demonstrate industry leadership through publication, presentations, participation in industry organizations or standards bodies
  • Develop strong partner relationships to accelerate customer engagements and expand the Cisco solution portfolio


  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in enterprise, solution, application, or information architecture in or around Health (Departmental, Hospital, Practitioner)
  • Understand health sector systems architectures and infrastructure
  • Understand and be able to drive design across multiple Cisco product families and 3rd Party technologies, infrastructure and systems
  • Understand health sector business and decision-making processes
  • Expertise in consultative approach and establishing credibility as trusted advisor by executives, architects, industry personnel, including Design Thinking
  • Ability to create and communicate a compelling vision to senior health leaders with an ability to leverage logic, experience, facts, and passion to influence others
  • Understanding of competitive products, emerging technologies, and applicability to customer environments
  • Strong knowledge of networking, cloud, communications and security theories and concepts demonstrated through successful project execution
  • Public Sector experience desired
  • 10+ years of health industry experience or equivalent preferred
