Your Role and Responsibilities
Technical Account Managers get assigned to clients who have IBM Cloud Premium Support. Assignments depend on the nature of Premium support contracts and in a typical case, a single TAM gets assigned to 4-5 clients. This role is a part of an Asia-Pacific team and TAM’s are expected to work with clients in AP countries based on business need.

Help clients deploy and operate solutions in IBM Cloud by addressing their issues and requirements in a fast and efficient manner.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Agility and Speed
  • Strong technical background needed to understand the IBM Cloud platform and client solutions
  • Strong background in managing client requirements and issues from a project/solution perspective
  • Chinese language skill required for the current opening
  • 8+ years of experience in the IT industry and enterprise/cloud networking skills desirable

  1. Continuously learn rapidly evolving Cloud technologies and solutions. Maintain a sound knowledge of the IBM Cloud platform and selected solution domains.
  2. Deliver a knowledge sharing session to the TAM team at least once per quarter.
  3. Work closely with IBM and client teams implementing solutions in IBM Cloud and assist them in progressing issues and requirements.
  4. Work closely with multiple IBM backend teams to help progress client issues and requirements
  5. Monitor high priority support cases opened by the client and assist progressing those efficiently
  6. Monitor the Cloud subscription and usage of the assigned clients and advice as needed
  7. Monitor for changes in IBM Cloud that impact assigned clients and advice as needed
  8. Monitor for new services in IBM Cloud that may benefit clients and introduce them. Engage IBM experts for deep dives as needed
  9. Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews to clients
  10. Work on at least one project with the WW TAM team on product/process improvement
