Reporting into the Executive Transformation and Business Improvement for Business & Private Bank, the Head of Business Improvement Value Stream is responsible for working across the business to identify and deliver on key business improvements to uplift customer and banker service proposition and deliver efficiencies.

This key role covers the full spectrum of change activity and delivery, from broader transformation to ‘quick value’, including continuous improvement initiatives. This includes changes across process, policy, system, automation and capability. A deep understanding of the business and end to end value chain is required to ensure implementation is successfully delivered.

Key responsibilities & deliverables of this role:

  • Delivery of transformation and change initiatives to maximise return on investment for the business;
  • Investment, operational and identification decisions relating to business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring they are fit for purpose, improve productivity, are compliant and uplift NPS and Colleague engagement;
  • Identification and delivery of complex end to end transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within the business;
  • Delivery and simplification of change activities across process, policy, capability, automation and system;
  • Product ownership regarding strategic improvement opportunity deliver.

About You:

You are a focused leader with a proven ability to put the customer at top mind. You will have excellent relationship management and people leadership skills along with the ability to communicate with honesty & courage. You will make timely decisions and take accountability for actions. You will drive innovation and seek to improve on current processes and practices and make them simpler and more efficient in a way that engages the hearts and minds of those involved.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in leading large scale complex transformation change initiatives and programmes of work;
  • Operational banking experience preferred;
  • Process design and continuous improvement experience;
  • Proven delivery and implementation experience;
  • Detailed and proven understanding of the principles of end to end risk management and control;
  • Knowledge and experience applying project methodologies;
  • Highly evolved analytical and stakeholder management skills coupled with the ability to influence and drive outcomes;
  • Tertiary qualified - preferably in a business, finance, operations, or general management
