Your Role and Responsibilities
A position is available within the Australian Corporate Security team for a Security Professional. You will be working within a global organisation as part of a multi-disciplined team, supporting IBM's corporate security programs. This is through the execution of security assurance activities to ensure the on-going operating effectiveness of security controls and providing technical security advisory support to business units. The role is considered to be a development role and training will be provided on IBM's security programs and functions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team of security professionals and perform tasks such as:
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business on IBM's security programs based on our internal polices and practices
  • Conduct security program reviews of IBM locations throughout Australia and ensure all the latest security capabilities and features are accurately represented
  • Effectively plan, manage and execute on security technology and security assurance activities including evaluating the business environment and any potential risks
  • Support the IBM Emergency Planning Program and Crisis Management Teams as well as security investigations where required.
  • Support IBM events with security planning and management
The role will require regular travel within Australia, along with occasional travel to New Zealand or other countries within Asia Pacific. The role is predominately standard business hours but work outside business hours, evenings, weekends, will occasionally be required. Due to the nature of Corporate Security incident management the successful candidate will be expected to support IBM's response to emergency and critical incident events at any time.

You will be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
  • Familiarity with audit and compliance work, preferably as a member of an audit or compliance team
  • Experience with risk management, identifying risks and providing pragmatic risk mitigation solutions
  • Certificate 4 in Risk Management, preferred but not essential
  • Degree qualified, preference given to security or policing fields
  • Possess a NSW Class 2AB Security license, or equivalent, or have the ability to obtain one
