Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support the Solutions Architecture team aligned with Public Sector customers in Australia and New Zealand.

To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services, the AWS Solutions Architecture team is seeking a highly organized and capable Program Manager who will collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible.

On our team, you will work with stakeholders and multiple business teams to identify, define, and specify solutions that fulfill our customers' needs. You will collaborate with multiple technical teams globally to deliver those solutions, acting as the face and voice for the project teams to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of successes, risks, and project status.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and manage project schedules/plans to support project delivery

  • Tailor your communications to specific audiences and communicate clearly and concisely to both business and technical audiences.

  • Continuously monitor key metrics

  • Partner with leaders to develop business rhythms such as recurrent meetings

  • Manage risk by bridging interdepartmental gaps

  • Facilitate tech team program/project delivery, execution, and adoption across multiple organizations and teams

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones.

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs

  • Execute on communications strategy to stakeholders including ownership of business cadence (all hands, team meetings etc)

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with differing priorities

  • Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner

  • Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have AWS's success firmly in your focus

  • Own annual planning and other adhoc planning cycles

  • Own goals/performance reporting


  • 10+ years of program, delivery or project management experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technical, financial, business, project management or resource management

  • 5+ years of experience writing documents and narratives; Experience presenting in executive level meetings

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience


  • Experience dealing effectively with internal and external customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure

  • Hands-on technical experience and/or qualifications

  • Ability to understand, consolidate, and aggregate data from various sources

  • Experience reviewing technical communications

  • Be willing to act with a sense of urgency, balanced with diplomacy PMP Certified

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
