Driver/Operator - Kingvac

About the role

Reporting to the On-Site Supervisor we are currently looking to recruit a Driver /Operator – Kingvac. Our Kingvac trucks are suited to businesses generating large amounts of wet and dry waste requiring safe and compliant collection, transport and disposal, such as in the mining sector. They feature high flow wet and dry industrial vacuums and 10,000-litre capacity debris tanks with tri-stage dust filtration.

Your role responsibilities will include:

  • Bin servicing in accordance with each run sheet or on call as assigned by dispatch and the supervisor
  • Day to day implementation of company quality, safety and environmental standards
  • Daily vehicle condition reporting and maintenance
  • Using appropriate personal protective equipment, maintaining the equipment and ensuring all hazardous situations are reported and acted upon promptly
  • Provide a high level of service and co-operative attitude
  • To liaise and to report information to operations concerning proposed changes to jobs (delays, modifications etc) concerning our customers/residents
  • To follow all reasonable and achievable instructions from operations, including special requests, and additional pickups
  • To understand and acknowledge the KPI's within this Contract and perform the services meeting the required KPI's

About you

We require the following pre-requisites:

  • A valid HR licence with minimum 2 years' relevant experience
  • Have passed an acceptable test of driving skills and an aptitude test in relation to the operation of equipment
  • Acceptable references outlining previous work history including any additional training or experience gained
  • Sound driving record
  • Must have reached a satisfactory educational standard sufficient to complete duties and tasks
  • Sound communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and solve problems
  • Demonstrate strong ‘customer first’ approach, and be hardworking and responsible
  • Previous experience in the waste industry would be highly regarded however not essential
  • The willingness to work reasonable overtime when required
