Our team centres around engaging both our small business and partner communities and includes GTM, brand and campaign champions, events specialists, digital and automation experts and analysts.

About the Role;

As Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating Xero’s small business channel performance in Australia through excellence in creative, omnichannel investment and strategy. This is a 12 month contract reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing and a unique opportunity to help shape Xero’s brand and market presence nationally to drive accelerated revenue growth for Xero Australia.

About you;

As a passionate and experienced B2C marketer, you have a proven track record in growing brands and audiences and will hit the ground running to effectively plan and deliver end to end media activity, integrated sponsorships, content and activations. You will be highly organised, detail oriented and able to operate in a fast paced environment without compromising on quality. You will be data-driven and commercially minded and will be comfortable quickly breaking down and assessing new opportunities based on ROMI, and you'll be just as confident presenting data and recommendations to senior leaders.

Working to your strengths you will have an in-depth understanding and passion around brand, media and consumer behaviour and be up-to-date on latest market trends, continuously monitor competitor activity and evaluate ROI across partnerships and marketing channels.

You must be a natural innovator with a curious mind, excellent communication, storytelling and presenting skills.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Work with the Head of Brand & Marketing to develop and deliver AU Brand strategy and rolling 6-12m strategic SMB Marketing planPlan, negotiate and secure media schedules, allowing time for creative, approvals and effective setting and management of targets
  • Curate insights from customer journeys, segmentation, brand research, surveys and community forums to inform marketing strategy and priorities
  • Work in close alignment with Commercial and Product teams to drive, develop and deliver compelling results-driven go-to-market strategies for relevant initiatives
  • Manage the AU marketing budget and communicate updates to the wider team
  • Work with the local and global Brand Hub teams to deliver world class creative applications, always on-brand and always challenging to maximise cut-through, CTA and conversion
  • Monitor and report on campaign lead indicators and key success metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis across the full SmB funnel
  • Play a key leadership role in mentoring the teams
  • What you'll bring with you;

  • Proven senior marketing expertise
  • B2C experience in media planning, buying, agency and negotiation (client or agency side)
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and/or compare program results, market research, trends, and competitive data to identify key learnings. From these key learnings, ability to make solid, strategic program level recommendations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • You will have a great ability to build rapport and trust with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability in influencing others by adapting approach to suit the individual in order to achieve the right outcomes
