The Group Data and Analytics team partners across all business unit’s within the Woolworths Group. Our team aim to be valued commercial business partners and advisors who understand the business’ strategic direction and needs. We collaborate to provide insight on problems, opportunities and current market trends, and to shape successful business decisions and generate innovative ideas.
As part of a team of Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, BI Developers and Data Engineers you will provide both a conduit service between business teams and technical experts and also daily data and insights support to those business teams.
In this role you will:
- Perform ad hoc data extraction, manipulation & analysis for actionable insights
- Decipher business issues and identify data gaps to guide enhancement
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with key stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements
- Design analytic solutions and dashboards for business problems and embed into business processes
- Participate in and facilitate the execution of all agile ceremonies, primarily maintenance of the backlog
- Developing strong working relationships across technical and business stakeholders
- Challenge norms and influence people with the support of data driven insights
As our successful candidate you have proven experience in a similar role where you have provided business support and data/insights utilising your working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. You have exceptional communication skills, are self motivated with a customer centric approach and you have the ability to work as a self-starter on individual projects as well as being part of the team to contribute to team success. An understanding of any of these tools - Tableau, GCP, Sketch, G-Suite, knowledge of programming languages along with demonstrated Agile ways of working with exposure to Jira, Confluence, along with exposure to the retail sector will be highly regarded.
