The Resource and Environmental Regulation Group is responsible for regulating one of Western Australia’s largest industry sectors, and plays a critical role in building WA’s economy while ensuring the States resources are developed in a sustainable and responsible manner.
The Resource Tenure Division is responsible for administering the granting of tenure for resource exploration and production, and facilitates access to land for resource activities.
In this role you will be managing the overall performance of the Meekatharra Outstation in respect to procedures under the Mining Act 1978 and other legislation relating to mineral tenure.
Drawing on your knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislations, you will deal with applications relating to mineral tenure and grant non-contested applications. You will provide a quality service to all stakeholders and act as agent for other State government departments.
This position is located in Meekatharra.

What do you require to successfully undertake the role?
- A demonstrated ability to manage a regional office and undertake a broad range of tasks.
- Knowledge, understanding and interpretation of legislation relating to approvals.
- An ability to provide high-level customer service to a diverse range of clients.
