Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to assist the field maintenance team at our Capcoal Surface Operations.

Your Trade or Degree qualification in mechanical engineering, demonstrated experience within an open-cut coal field maintenance environment, solid understanding of the coal mining process and relevant legislation with strong interpersonal skills are essential to the role.

You will possess at least three (3) years’ experience on field mine site equipment (electric rope shovels, draglines, excavators and drills etc).

You will enjoy the challenge of maintaining equipment, diagnosing problems, implementing preventative maintenance and have extensive hydraulic skills. Supervisor (S123, G2), SAP, Auto Electrical experience is not essential but highly desirable.

Additional information

This is a full-time, permanent role on a 7 On 7 Off rotating Dayshift / Nightshift roster based at our Capcoal Surface Operation in Middlemount.

Relocation, and residential housing options are available for this role, alternatively DIDO options with camp in Middlemount are also available for the successful applicant.
