About us

The Trade Finance Operations Team is the gateway to International Banking for our customers. Our core business is processing Trade Finance transactions involving Documentary Letters of Credit and collections. Your role is to perform a range of specialist processing activities efficiently and accurately. You will provide internal and external customers with a cost effective and efficient world best practice Trade Finance service. Team will process international transactions for clients, under Letter of Credit and Collection, based in various market segments, including Institutional Banking, Corporate, Agribusiness and Nab Business, and be able to discuss aspects of these transactions verbally with customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviews and ensures the accuracy of transactions processed by officers
  • Provides ‘on the moment’ feedback on any issues to officers
  • Overall responsibility for transaction executions.
  • Ability to check shipping and commercial documents against Letters of Credit through application of governing rules
  • Identify and discuss discrepancies on shipping documents presented under Letter of Credit with customers
  • Process payments in AUD and Currency (CCY);
  • Establish Trade Finance and Documentary Collections;
  • Establishment and advising of Inward Letters of Credits;
  • Assisting customers with preparing their documents under Letter of Credit;
  • Dealing with escalated client queries
  • Ability to identify and extract key information from shipping documents for the purposes of preparing bank schedules and documentation;

Having direct customer contact, you will be passionate about customer service and driven by completing accurate transactions within set timeframes.

NB: This role will require you to work directly from our Parramatta Offices. No Working from Home arrangements will be available.

About you

The successful applicant will have several years lending operations experience gained in either Business, Corporate or Institutional Banking – preferably with exposure to Trade Finance products. You’ll possess a strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work in a face paced business with exposure to high value transactions.
