Weighbridge Administrator

A vacancy has become available at our North Bannister site for a diligent administrator to perform customer facing duties to ensure our weighbridges are run smoothly. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be focussed on achieving the accurate and timely administration of waste acceptance. As this is a customer facing role, you will enjoy maintaining strong customer relationships, communicating with customers and drivers to ensure that all enquiries are handled efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake clerical duties including data entry, reporting, filing and maintenance of billing, customer pricing and database management, and other systems which are developed or introduced from time to time
  • Maintenance of SUEZ administration records such as effective archive and filing systems
  • Undertake reception duties including answering telephone calls and managing mail
  • Prepare administration documents as required
  • Coordinate & maintain an accredited EQ&S system with the Operations Manager
  • Ensure main office buildings on site are kept clean and presentable to visitors and staff, ensuring that there are adequate supplies of materials and consumables at all times
  • Act as a liaison point for staff and customers to the Manager

Qualifications and requirements

  • Be competent in the use of commercial software applications/Microsoft Office
  • Strong numeracy skills with the ability to quickly and accurately perform calculations
  • Admin/data entry experience
  • Experience in an accounts position with exposure to accounts payable and receivable
  • Be capable in the design and layout of business forms, proposals and spreadsheets
  • Possess a strong Customer Service attitude and a willingness to communicate with customer representatives at all levels
  • Experience in SAP highly regarded
  • Experience with Weighbridge Systems highly regarded
  • Understanding of the waste industry and the administration of waste transport and disposal is desirable but not essential.
