Lead, develop and manage a team of architecture leaders to collectively deliver on all areas of architectural responsibility Proactively manage financial and other resource allocation and planning, in line with the cycles of the Xero business, integrating into other processes as required Work across the architectural group you are responsible for by ensuring that cross-domain architectural outcomes are actively considered, thereby avoiding siloed thinking Develop and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in the implementation of architectural best practice, driving the consistent use of agreed standards and methods across the architecture community, leveraging industry knowledge and global best practice Cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders providing thought leadership and insight into achieving architectural outcomes Support early stage engagement from your team on M&A activities with a view to optimising potential integration with the rest of Xero Collaborate with the Architecture & Integration leadership team to appropriately govern and continually improve our practice, standards, guidelines and policies.

How you’ll make an impact...
The GM Architecture provides strategic, commercial, and technical oversight across Xero’s architecture teams to ensure alignment with overall Xero strategy and cross-organisational architectural outcomes, proactively and effectively communicating with stakeholders around the globe, and building empathy for and understanding of our users, customers, and markets.
Reporting to the EGM of Architecture & Integration, you will empower your architecture leaders and their teams to increase the technical efficiency and effectiveness of the product and technology development functions, while retaining Xero’s ability to remain responsive to our customers through short development cycle times and high roadmap throughput.
