As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an experienced SAP consultant at IBM Global Business Services, you will deliver innovative business solutions through design, build and test, including responsibility for and systems integration. You will leverage your subject matter expertise and your leadership capabilities to ensure successful project delivery and client success. As a member of our SAP technical team you will get the chance to participate in new and existing implementations, developed with the latest technology and tools. At IBM you’ll find your role has a very unique look, combining both strong technical and business skills.

We would like you to have a solid SAP Integration background ideally in a large government organisation environment. This role is focused on the design of solutions which enable SAP application components to work together with legacy Defence system. These legacy solutions may use different technologies, vendors, platforms, and styles of computing. Strong experience in integration design, planning and managing execution of the integration development build. Experience in the S/4 HANA SLT or SAP PI/PO solutions is also a must.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Be an Australian citizen

- Be eligible to obtain an AGSVA baseline security clearance or already have AGSVA baseline security clearance

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

- This role is focused on the design of solutions which enable SAP application components to work together with legacy Defence system. These legacy solutions may use different technologies, vendors, platforms, and styles of computing.

- Extensive demonstrable SAP experience including at least 5 full end-to end project lifecycles.

- Strong knowledge in SAP Integration methods, tools and products and SAP S/4 HANA. Ability to do gather requirements and write technical and functional specifications.

- Customization experience of SAP and understanding of core data structures and data flows

- Strong problem solving skills to drive resolution of defects and issues by understanding client needs and presenting options to resolve the problem.

- An ability to identify, develop and implement solutions to gaps to meet the needs of the business

- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to deliver high profile activities to tight timescales

- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment

- Strong stakeholder management skills

- Strong presentation, client Relationship and stakeholder engagement skills

- Willing to take on challenges in new areas at new clients

- Team lead or project management aspirations in combination with a strong drive to develop as a functional consultant

- A drive to expand your network in the SAP community

- Ambition, excellent leadership skills and a talent for building successful client relationships will be highly valued.
