Xero is a beautiful, easy-to-use platform that helps small businesses and their accounting and bookkeeping advisors grow and thrive.
At Xero, our purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. We support our people to do the best work of their lives so that they can help small businesses succeed through better tools, information and connections. Because when they succeed they make a difference, and when millions of small businesses are making a difference, the world is a more beautiful place.
About the role
This opportunity is ideal for someone with some Product Owner experience but still lots of room to grow. You'll be joining a mature team of 7 Xeros (Devs, Team Lead and a grad developer), who have well established practices.
This Product Owner role sits within our Payments, Billing and Automation products group. These products are consumed by our customers everyday!
Cashflow is the life blood of small business, and in this role you'll be directly helping our customers reconcile their cashflow. You'll be able to see the long term wins from building beautiful technology, and know how to prioritise courageously. To solve customer problems, you'll take a measure and adjust approach, and you'll coach your delivery pod in these skills, to value outcomes over outputs.
As a Product Owner, you will work with a delivery team who will look to you for guidance and support every day to build the best experiences for our customers (current and prospective). As a passionate and skilled product person, you'll enjoy working with other product people, including product managers, product owners, designers, researchers, analysts and delivery teams including team facilitators, developers and QAs. This role will benefit from enough technical knowledge to have empathy for your engineer teammates, but you don't need to be able to write code yourself. You'll work closely with other teams from the wider business, such as support, product, training and sales, who help bring your solutions to market - and be used by millions of people every day.
