The IBM Services team is driving the Cognitive Enterprise with our clients via a team of skilled consultants, technologies and intellectual property assets to support our clients as they face the challenges of ever-changing customer expectations, shifting supply chains and disruptive technologies.

We are looking for an experienced consultant to lead our growing Perth-based team to meet the needs of our clients as they move towards the vision of becoming a Cognitive Enterprise.


Your Role and Responsibilities
As a leader you will be responsible for:
  • Identifying and assessing use cases that take advantage of cognitive technologies, then designing and estimating the effort, skills and technologies required to deliver a compelling outcome
  • Successful delivery of project management outcomes
  • Implementing effective agile practices in collaboration with our clients
  • Understanding the client’s business needs and technical requirements
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of our cognitive computing, analytical and AI offerings such that you can have detailed and informed discussions with our clients

What skills and experience will I need?
  • Significant project management experience using both Waterfall and agile techniques and have experience leading functional and technical teams both onshore and offshore.
  • Strong interest and/or working knowledge in the application of advanced analytics, AI, data platform and cognitive computing techniques
  • Experience with the implementation of modern data platforms using technologies such as AWS, Azure, IBM or Google
  • Significant industry experience as a consultant and ability to present complex ideas and analytical insights to both technical and non- technical audiences in a compelling way
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • You will likely have at least a Bachelors degree (preferably Masters degree) in a relevant discipline as well as being a certified Project Manager (PMP or Prince 2).
  • Experience in engineering-oriented organisations, such as utilities, telecommunications or natural resources is highly desirable
