About the project
Larrakeyah Barracks is a strategically important Defence base servicing the Royal Australian Navy, Army and Joint Task Force units in the Darwin Area. Laing O’Rourke is delivering both the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment and Facilities Support to Naval Operations in the North projects as the managing contractor.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Marine) for the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment project. Right now is a great time to join us on this exciting new Defence project which is located in central Darwin and offers longevity. This is a residential role and therefor fly in, fly out arrangements are not available.
- Plan and sequence construction activities, track costs and manage subcontractors.
- Interface with design management and construction delivery team, whilst always adhering to Laing O’Rourke’s safety policies and procedures.
- Relevant Engineering or Construction Management degree.
- Contracting background with a strong delivery focus and leadership skills.
- Experience in marine construction (e.g. wharves and jetties) on large-scale construction projects.
- Managing contractor and/or Defence experience would be beneficial.
