Assist the Engineering Practices group to implement and execute effective fit for purpose software development practices. Coach and manage delivery teams to facilitate and improve on a reliable delivery cadence. Produce data to demonstrate and track the team’s performance. Proactively identify and facilitate the removal of impediments, protecting the team from disruption and helping them honour commitments. Ensure key collaboration and control ceremonies and processes are followed and carried out in an efficient manner. Work closely with the Product Manager to set expectations for delivery, based on best understanding estimations. Foster a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within the team. Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure stakeholders are provided with the information they require in a timely manner. Work with Competency Leads and Product Managers to manage resource and capability commitments. Provide input to the wider team for capability performance, growth and learning. Collaborative definition, management and scheduling of work with external teams, to unblock dependencies as required.
Demonstrated experience working with high performing Software Delivery teams. A strong technical understanding of the technologies, tools, and engineering practices relating to cloud application development. Good technical understanding of modern cloud architecture concepts, patterns, and technologies. Project management experience, managing risk and stakeholders Working knowledge of Agile development, LEAN methodology, and supporting tools Hands-on experience with data analytics Experience with the complete software development lifecycle in a DevOps organization Working with stakeholders to understand objectives, value and success measures for new features and enhancements Working with the Product Management, Architecture, and Delivery Teams to refine and manage scope and requirements Ability to interact with Senior Stakeholders to an Executive level Ability to comprehend and have an understanding of the wider team’s portfolio of delivery and how you fit into that Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, exceptionally self-motivated and directed Ability to effectively prioritize and scope multiple channels of development Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across international teams Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

What’s the role?
As the Product Owner in Engineering Practice Support, you will be responsible for executing on our vision, strategy and roadmap. You will work alongside a talented engineering pod. Your skillful product leadership and management of the pod’s backlog enables the pod to deliver compelling platform products and services that solve real problems for our customers/users.
Product Owners will have a strong understanding of technical products, including a comprehensive understanding of software development practices, and be able to make clear decisions on prioritisation, minimum value, and help the team plan and operate accordingly.
